About a hundred seats in a place that's been here since 1973. Very impressive and mature decorations, and feels like it's got a real atmosphere. Extra Halloween decorations on top. Also a number of fairly private dining and party rooms. The maitre-d said he was Indian, though they have some Nepali and Thai food on the large menu. He speaks some English, too. Also a massive drink menu, so I'm sure there's plenty of drinking at night. Considering the location, the dinner menu prices are reasonable. There were lots of Wi-Fi signals, but the restaurant recommends a GW band that is apparently incompatible with the Chromebook (so I switched to my smartphone for the review). I doubt the problem comes up very often. Covid precautions are actually done in a way to enhance the decorations: Rugs on wooden frames rather than plastic sheets.
The menu tempted me to try something called paneer makhani curry, which was a thick tomato and onion base with some kind of cheese. (The spelling checker wants to spell it differently.) Very tasty, and he juiced it a bit for me on the spice. The naan was good, though unsweet and I have to say not quite as good as the one I had at lunch. The salad was definitely superior, though the dressing was still a bit of a disappointment, just like lunch. The tandoori chicken was kind of average. I'm calling this a high four stars, too, though I suspect this is a place that is more likely to get five stars on the consistency. Also I suspect there have been a lot of memorable parties here.
Big portions for reasonable prices. Lots of options on the menu for North and South Indian food, Nepalese, and even some Thai dishes. Came here on a Saturday evening and was able to be seated immediately. The restaurant is quite big with lots of private seating areas. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Located near the station. Would definitely come back!
Delicious food prepared and served by Indians with care. Great ambience , nice decor and amazing hindi songs played in the background. The owner is a humble and courteous man from Chandni Chowk!
Highly recommend it instead of going to Indian restaurant run by non indians!
Special note for vegetarian:
The owner(Mr Naveen sharma) is a vegetarian brahmin, so you can rest assured when you order something vegetarian you will receive vegetarian food only.
The interior of restaurant was welcoming and peaceful, it reflects the Indian environment. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Food was awesome, I highly recommend this restaurant.
This isn’t a place for Indians, they say it’s an Indian restaurant but it’s only made for non-Indians and the staff also seems to be from Nepal and they don’t seem quite welcoming, everyone looks at you with a poker face. The food is tasteless, their staff doesn’t serve even masala papad on time and has 0 idea about Indian hospitality. Worst thing is, they serve sushi plates to eat food. For crying out loud this is an Indian restaurant how can you serve food in sushi plates??? If you’re an Indian reading this please do not go to this restaurant, your blood will only boil after going here since this restaurant is a shame on Indian hospitality.
Very delicious food such a in Tokyo serve Indian Authentic food cooks are made pure Indian recipe like Indian restaurant very homily environment staff are very friendly speaking Japanese, English, Hindi.nepalese multi leagues speaking staff I suggest please go one time and enjoy
Amazing South Indian food, the restaurant is spacious and the food is so delicious, it was my first time trying Dosa, I would definitely go back again to try other dishes too.
The food is delicious. But the service is very awful. I saw the waiter cleaning the other table instead of using a cloth to wipe or sanitized the table he wiped the dirt with his hands and simply arranged the menus on the table. I ordered stir fry noodle or pad thai so the waiter handed me a chopstick with his hand. With his hand without a container!!!! He could at least handed it with a tissue.
